Code:Red WR330 Fastest Focus ST in Europe – 0-60mph 5.15 sec

Bolton’s Rick Luke driving his Code:Red tuned Focus ST WR330 officially
recorded the fastest 0-60mph for any road specification ST at the recent Fast
Ford show at Silverstone.

Thousands of spectators witnessed the run as temperatures reached 32deg C.

Nicked named ‘ASBO’ Rick had 5 attempts at the timed run varying both his
starting technique and trying the ESP switched on and off.

Run 1: 5.87 (ESP/TC OFF)
Run 2: 6.32 (ESP/TC ON)
Run 3: 5.15 (ESP/TC OFF)
Run 4: 6.60 (ESP/TC OFF)
Run 5: 6.21 (ESP/TC OFF)

Despite running an upgraded Proalloy intercooler the hot weather ultimately
affected the final two runs with the inlet air temperatures exceeding 70 deg C
resulting in a noticeable reduction of power. (a Code:Red software safety feature)

The car, which was using standard 18” alloys and Toyo tyres, was converted by
Profile Automotive in February this year and runs standard WR330 specification.
